This Privacy Policy explains how the Shep Hyken CX Assessment (“the Assessment”) collects, uses, stores, and protects your information. By using the Assessment, you accept and agree to the terms of this policy.

We collect information you provide directly, information generated by your use of the Assessment, and limited technical information automatically transmitted by your browser.
- Assessment responses. Your answers to the 20 assessment statements, recorded on a 1–5 frequency scale.
- Contact information. Your name and email address, provided after you complete the assessment so we can deliver your personalized report.
- Attribution data. Optional source, campaign, event, referral, QR code, and UTM parameters that help us understand how respondents discover the Assessment.
- Technical data. Your IP address, browser type and version, operating system, the dates and times you access the Assessment, and the pages or screens you view.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Generate and display your personalized CX Assessment report.
- Email a copy of your report to the address you provide.
- Add your contact record to our customer relationship management system so we can follow up with relevant information about our services.
- Measure aggregate assessment trends, source effectiveness, and completion rates.
- Maintain, secure, and improve the Assessment and our related services.
- Comply with legal obligations and protect our rights.
3. Cookies, Local Storage, and Similar Technologies
The Assessment may use cookies and similar technologies to maintain your session and remember your progress. We also use your browser’s local storage to queue your answers temporarily if your connection is interrupted, so your responses are not lost. You can clear this data at any time through your browser settings.
4. How We Share Your Information
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with service providers who help us operate the Assessment, and only to the extent necessary for those services:
- Email delivery. Your report is sent through a trusted email-sending service using the address you provide.
- CRM synchronization. Your name, email, score, rating, top priority, version, source, campaign, event, QR code, assessment date, and report URL are synced to our customer relationship management system.
- Hosting and database. Assessment data is stored in a secure, managed cloud database.
We may also disclose information if required by law, to protect our rights, or in connection with a business transfer.
5. Data Retention
We retain your assessment responses and contact information for as long as needed to provide the Assessment, follow up with you, and analyze aggregate results. We may also retain information as required by law or for legitimate business purposes.

6. Your Rights and Choices
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your personal information. To exercise these rights, contact us using the information below. We will respond within a reasonable timeframe and may ask you to verify your identity before processing your request.
7. Minors
The Assessment is not directed to children under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you are under 18, please use the Assessment only with the permission and active involvement of a parent or legal guardian, and do not submit personal information without their consent.
8. Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect your information. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
9. Policy Changes
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Last Updated” date below. Continued use of the Assessment after changes means you accept the revised policy.
